Health Service Veterinarian Assistant (Central Region - México)

This position manages the health of pigs and will diagnose and treat illnesses that affect these livestock species. This role will conduct health exams, give vaccinations, draw blood, prescribe medications, clean and suture wounds, take ultrasounds and x-rays, perform surgeries, monitor the reproductive health of the breeding stock, perform artificial inseminations, assist with problem births, and conduct pre-purchase exams. 

This is a remote position based in the Central Region of México, with approximately 50% of travel required domestically, depending on the business need.

• Evaluar las auditorías de bioseguridad y evaluación de riesgos
• Analizar los registros sanitarios y diseñar planes de vigilancia
• Diagnosticar enfermedades y establecer su asociación con el fracaso de la producción
• Diseñar intervenciones sanitarias para prevenir o minimizar el impacto negativo de las enfermedades infecciosas en la salud, producción y economía porcina
• Elaborar material de formación para la escuela de bioseguridad PIC

• Médico Veterinario Zootecnista, Ingeniero Agrónomo o título equivalente
• Licencia de manejo vigente
• 1 - 3 años de experiencia en producción porcina, bioseguridad en granjas o conocimiento the porcicultura
• Conocimiento de Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Power Point y Outlook
• Inglés nivel intermedio: lectura, escritura y conversación
