About the Role
~1 min read
Love general practice, but want the opportunity to do more?
We're looking for a veterinarian who already has some clinical experience under their belt and is comfortable practicing independently.
This position would be especially well suited for someone who enjoys:
- Challenging and complex medical cases
- Internal medicine and diagnostics
- Thoughtful, thorough case management
- Utilizing advanced tools such as CT and ultrasound
- Continuing to expand their medical and diagnostic skills
- Collaborating with an experienced and supportive veterinary team
You don't need to be a specialist. You do need to be curious, engaged in your cases, and excited by the opportunity to practice medicine beyond routine GP.
Why Texoma Veterinary Hospital?
Established in 1984, Texoma Veterinary Hospital combines the personal relationships of a community practice with capabilities more commonly associated with larger or more advanced hospitals.
The hospital is AAHA-accredited, has undergone an expansion and remodel, and offers a broad spectrum of medical, diagnostic, surgical, and reproductive services.
You'll have access to advanced diagnostic tools, including CT and ultrasound, while working alongside a doctor with ABVP certification in Canine/Feline Practice and a team accustomed to managing cases ranging from routine wellness visits to complicated medical workups.
For the experienced GP who has ever thought, “I wish I could do more with these cases before referring them,” this may be exactly the kind of practice you've been looking for.
Life in Sherman, Texas
Sherman offers a great balance for someone who wants access to North Texas without living in the middle of the Metroplex. Located north of Dallas-Fort Worth, the area continues to experience significant growth while retaining a smaller-community feel.
Sherman and the surrounding Texoma region offer easy access to the DFW area, outdoor recreation and Lake Texoma, along with a community that continues to grow and develop.
It's a great place for a veterinarian looking to build a career in a progressive hospital while enjoying a little more space, a strong sense of community, and convenient access to everything North Texas has to offer.
If you're an experienced veterinarian looking for a GP environment where you can practice at a higher level, work through more complex cases, and be part of a growing hospital, we'd love to talk with you about Texoma Veterinary Hospital.
