Responsibilities

→Provides services to meet the different needs of clients through coordination with the medical team.
→Supervises medical and day to day operations of substance use disorders/mental health services.
→Enforces adherence to state board of nursing and state nurse practice act requirements and to other governing agency regulations.
→Maintains nursing staff by interviewing, training, supervising, orienting, and training nurses.
→Promotes patients’ independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching and counseling patients and their families individually and/or in groups and reinforcing their understanding of disease, medications, and self-care skills.
→Protects patients and employees by developing and interpreting infection-control policies and protocols, enforcing medication administration, storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
→Performs Quality Assurance activities.
→Provides services according to agency policies, procedures, program guidelines, and governmental regulations.
→Monitors provision of services when assigned.
→Assures program record documentation compliance with agency and regulatory standards.

Requirements

Must have a valid, active Registered Nurse License with NYS for RN assigned duties.
One to three years of clinical experience appropriate to program preferred.
Minimum of a bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
Must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License.
