Director, Product Design & Experience
Quick Summary
Directly manages product designers and design specialists
We are seeking a Director, Product Design & Experience, to lead UX and UI across Herbalife’s core digital platforms used by millions of distributors and customers globally. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for setting the design vision, rebuilding and scaling internal product design capability, and partnering closely with Product Management and Engineering to deliver intuitive, scalable, high-quality digital experiences.
This leader will play a key role in strengthening Herbalife’s internal product design function following a period of external partnership and will bring both strategic leadership and hands-on execution. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in product design, design systems, and cross-functional collaboration with fluency in modern AI-enabled workflows. They know how to use AI to accelerate ideation and prototyping, apply strong judgment in evaluating when AI-generated output is not production-ready, and operate effectively in evolving design-to-code workflows that increasingly blur the boundary between design and engineering.
- Define and lead the UX and UI vision across Herbalife’s digital product ecosystem
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of product designers and design specialists
- Establish and uphold high standards for usability, accessibility, visual quality, and experience consistency
- Partner closely with Product Management to shape product strategy, roadmaps, and customer experience priorities
- Lead mobile-first and responsive design strategies across both mobile and desktop platforms
- Guide design across both B2B and consumer-facing digital experiences, with an understanding of the needs of business-operating users
- Collaborate with Engineering leaders and teams to ensure high-quality implementation and strong design-to-development execution
- Drive adoption, evolution, and governance of the design system across platforms
- Lead complex design initiatives from discovery through delivery
- Build and foster a strong, product-centered design culture grounded in ownership, collaboration, speed, and measurable impact
- Use AI-enabled workflows to accelerate ideation, concept exploration, prototyping, and creative experimentation
- Establish team standards for the responsible use of AI in design workflows, including when additional human review, refinement, or validation is required
- Evaluate AI-generated concepts, flows, content, visuals, and prototypes for quality, usability, accessibility, feasibility, and production readiness
- Promote stronger design-to-code collaboration through modern handoff practices, Dev Mode workflows, and familiarity with emerging AI-assisted development patterns
- Additional duties as assigned
