What You’ll Do (Summary of role)


F/S is responsible for keeping the facility clean, safe, and well-maintained. Their duties include cleaning floors, restrooms, and common areas, removing trash, disinfecting surfaces, and restocking supplies like soap and paper towels. F/S may handle minor repairs or report repairs that are needed. By maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, F/S plays an important role in creating a healthy and comfortable environment for everyone who uses the facility.




Day to Day Responsibilities (Limit to most important/top 10 duties if possible)



· High dust pipes, ductwork, vents, fixtures, graphics or any other high structure.


· Clean all carpets, hard floors and any other flooring throughout the building. This will include general vacuuming as well as sweeping, mopping and any other related duties.


· Be responsible for keeping inventory of carts and closets. This includes, but is not limited to cleaning products, vacuums, mops, buckets, garbage bags, paper supplies and any other equipment required.


· Notify manager if any supplies are needed to ensure the cart and closets are always stocked.


· Empty trash receptacles, waste baskets, and any other trash bins. Pick up trash throughout the building as well as the walkways outside.


· Maintain the cleanliness of all windows, graphics, and statues in exhibit areas.


· Properly use all equipment for the purpose that it is intended and in an approved and safe manner.


· You will be required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety while performing cleaning and maintenance tasks.


· Constant building walks to ensure that all areas of the building are clean and all trash is pulled.


· Cleaning of all restrooms, including but not limited to floors, walls, sink, faucets, toilets, urinals, and sanitary disposal.


· You will also be responsible for making continuous rounds of the restrooms to ensure that they are cleaned and that the paper products and soap dispensers are stocked.

What We’re Looking For



Must Haves: (required for the role)


· Ability to read material safety data sheets (MSDS).


· Able to interact professionally and effectively with team members.


· Education: High school diploma or equivalent.


· Having the ability to work as a team or independently.


· Having the ability to quickly address unexpected challenges in cleaning tasks.



Nice-to-Haves: (preferred for the role)


· Experience: Housekeeping or janitorial background.


· Affinity for animals preferred



Physical Requirements: (Add per list provided based on role type)


· Heavy work: exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.


· Involves walking or standing majority of time.


· Sitting or standing, bending, stooping, and the ability to carry items weighing up to 45 pounds.


· Constant adequate range of motion and mobility required.


· Regular near acuity with clarity of vision at 20 inches or less required. .


· Regular hearing and the ability to perceive the nature of sounds.


· Working long hours between breaks or meals required.


· Ability to work with various cleaning products.


· Ability to work under and handle stress in an appropriate manner required.


· May be exposed to high, medium, or low noise intensity.


· Constant contact with co-workers required.


· Exposure to fluctuations in temperatures may be required.


· Exposure to cleaning chemicals.


· Exposure to outdoor conditions may be required.
