The Deputy Station Manager will report directly to the Station Manager. This position is located at Pituffik Space Base, Greenland.
The Deputy Station Manager schedules, manages, and directs the Station work force in operations and maintenance (O&M) to satisfy contract requirements. He or she ensures all Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements are achieved, reviews and evaluates proposed contract changes, ensures Contract Deliverables are accurately prepared and delivered as specified. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned to meet the changing needs of contract performance.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Bachelor’s degree in management or a technical field or completion of government/military technical training/leadership schools.
- Five years’ experience managing employees performing technical operations and maintenance functions.
- Three years hands-on experience with government contract(s) for the operations and maintenance of phased array or equivalent radar or technical systems.
- Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase.
- Employment and start date are contingent upon the candidate receiving the required US DoD issued interim security clearance
- Favorable completion of a National Agency Check with Local Agency Checks (NACLC) is required.
- Responsible for the work of others and manages/supervises exempt employees in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
- The Station Manager serves as the general supervisor for the Deputy Station Manager.
- Expected to be able to lift to 50-pound loads on occasion in a normal working office environment and may work extended hours on weekends and holidays.
- Travel throughout the Thule Defense area is routinely required.
- Rotation schedule will be 9 weeks on and 4 weeks off with possibility of adjustment.
- A 66 hour work week will be the norm.
- Walking, siting, typing, bending and lifting items as required within position requirements.
