Kimley-Horn is looking for Electrical Engineering students to join our Saint Paul, MN office's Power Delivery team! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
~1 min readPre-Design Engineering
- →Coordination and verification of as-built drawings
- →Perform field investigations.
- →Set up drawings and models for multiple disciplines.
- →Collaborate with team members regarding design coordination, schedules, and deliverables.
- →Perform feasibility studies.
- →Prepare schematic designs.
Design Engineering
- →Design of electrical systems including Ports & Harbors electrification, electric vehicle charging, and building electrical
- →Responsible for the development of reports and design documents, including electrical design plans, equipment selection, solar system sizing, and power analyses.
- →Participate on project teams in an active production role
- →Daily interaction and collaboration on cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines
- →Perform energy calculations using EnergyPro or IES VE.
- →Develop single-line diagrams and load schedules.
- →Design lighting selection and controls.
- →Design normal, emergency, and renewable power systems.
- →Perform Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies using ETAP and/or SKM
Requirements
~1 min read- In the process of receiving an ABET accredited Electrical Engineering Degree (Bachelors or Masters)
Rate: $30-$31 hourly
