Northwest Arkansas Pediatric Clinic is seeking a dependable and motivated PRN PCA/CNA to join our team. The PCA/CNA is responsible for rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, and supporting clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow. This role also includes performing point-of-care testing and assisting providers with procedures.This position provides support during high-volume clinic hours and plays an essential role in delivering efficient, high-quality patient care.
- Weekday Evenings: Monday–Friday, 4:45 PM – ~7:00 PM (end time may vary)
- Saturday Mornings: 7:45 AM – ~11:00 AM (end time may vary)
- Hours are as needed (PRN) based on clinic demand
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for evaluation
- →Obtain and accurately document vital signs in the EHR
- →Verify and update medications, allergies, and patient information
- →Assist physicians and nurses with procedures as directed
- →Perform and document rapid tests (urinalysis, hemoglobin, guaiac, strep, flu, COVID swabs, PCR, etc.)
- →Conduct hearing and vision screenings
- →Support compliance with Meaningful Use requirements during patient intake
- →Review daily schedules to maintain efficient clinic flow
- →Must be able to work well independently and as a team
- →Take vital signs, direct patients to proper exam/treatment room, and ensure all medications are up to date. Prepare patients for examinations and other procedures
- →Assist physician with procedures as directed
- →Make sure Meaningful Use requirements are addressed and met as appropriately delegated to the check in process
- →Review daily schedules to ensure productive clinic flow; monitor charge tickets to reflect updates in insurance, patient demographics, etc.
