The Receptionist performs various procedures associated with routine patient encounters, maintains positive relationships with patients, family members, visitors and fellow employees. Receptionist makes appointments for patients and maintains accurate and orderly schedules for physicians. The receptionist also performs other tasks as assigned such as float cashier.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Manage all phases of the patient encounter as listed in the procedure manual; verify patient's name, address, phone number and health insurance coverage; direct patients to appropriate clinic locations as indicated by the schedule
- →Talking to patients about payments arrangement, and preparing them if they might need to set up a payment plan for previous debts
- →Making daily deposits, for cash, checks and credit cards
- →Monitor the lobby area (straighten magazines, check cups and wipe down chairs) and be ready to assist if patients or visitors encounter difficulties

Requirements

- 7 to 11 months related experience and/or training
