We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Officer to provide hands-on HR support and guidance across the business, with a strong focus on Employee Relations, HR operations, compliance and business partnering.

The ideal candidate will have a strong HR Generalist background, extensive Employee Relations experience and a sound understanding of South African labour legislation. Recruitment experience is also required, as the role will support Talent Acquisition and hiring requirements when needed.

Responsibilities

  • →Manage Employee Relations matters including disciplinary processes, grievances, incapacity, performance management and investigations.
  • →Provide practical HR guidance to employees, managers and operational leaders.
  • →Support CCMA matters and ensure compliance with South African labour legislation.
  • →Implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and processes.
  • →Partner with managers on employee, performance and workforce-related matters.
  • →Maintain accurate HR records and reporting.
  • →Support recruitment and Talent Acquisition activities when required.
  • →Partner with hiring managers and the TA team on recruitment requirements.
  • →Support high-volume recruitment and onboarding initiatives.
  • →Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and employee experience.
  • →Support HR projects, audits and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' HR experience, preferably within an HR Generalist or HR Operations role.
  • Proven Employee Relations and Industrial Relations experience.
  • Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and CCMA processes.
  • Experience managing disciplinary, grievance, incapacity and performance matters.
  • Previous experience in a BPO, contact centre or high-volume environment is advantageous.
  • Previous recruitment/Talent Acquisition experience is required.
  • Experience partnering with managers and operational leaders.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with HRIS, ATS and Microsoft Office.
  • Must be willing to submit up to a LEVEL II background and/or security investigation with a fingerprint.  Job offers are contingent on background/security investigation results.
  • Must be willing to submit to drug screening.  Job offers are contingent on drug screening results. (Does not apply in Canada)
