In this role, you’ll operate robotic welding equipment to produce quality metal parts and assemblies while performing welding, inspection, finishing, and equipment adjustments throughout the production process.

We’re looking for someone with welding experience who understands weld setup, can read blueprints and welding symbols, and takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality work. If you’re mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and enjoy hands-on manufacturing, we’d like to hear from you!

Responsibilities

Set up and operate robotic welding equipment to produce metal parts and assemblies
→
Load components into fixtures manually or with the use of hoists and other material-handling equipment
→
Set and adjust welding parameters including wire feed speed, amperage, polarity, gas, and other machine settings
→
Perform robotic welder programming, touch-point adjustments, and operational corrections
→
Monitor welding operations and make necessary machine adjustments
→
Unload completed welded assemblies and place them in designated containers
→
Perform basic MIG and TIG welding as needed
→
Tack weld, grind, bend, clamp, and position components to achieve required configurations
→
Remove excess weld, slag, spatter, and rough areas using grinders and other hand or power tools
→
Inspect and measure completed parts to verify they meet specifications and quality requirements
→
Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, work instructions, quality plans, and job specifications
→
Maintain accurate part counts and properly label completed material
→
Identify and report defective materials, equipment concerns, and quality issues
→
Perform basic preventative maintenance on welding equipment
→
Maintain company quality, efficiency, productivity, and safety standards
→
Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized
→
Assist in other production areas as needed

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
At least 1 year of welding experience preferred
Welding certificate or technical degree preferred
Ability to successfully complete an internal welding test
Knowledge of welding equipment, tools, and basic equipment maintenance
Understanding of welding setup parameters including amps, volts, wire, and filler materials
Experience working with various metals and alloys
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
Basic shop math skills
Ability to use handheld measuring tools and gauges
Basic computer skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
Dependable and willing to work flexible hours when production needs require
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and learn new skills
Strong communication and teamwork skills
