The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) delivers technical nursing care to Residents using the nursing process, functioning as a member of the nursing team under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). The LVN may assume charge nurse role in the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).

Requirements

Experience:

At least one (1) year experience as LVN

Education:

Current California LVN license.
Graduate from an approved LVN program with an associates or equivalent degree.
Current CPR Certification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to apply good clinical judgment, plan work, establish priorities and maintain flexibility.
Proficient written and verbal skills.
Ability to use a computer proficiently.

Responsibilities

→Organizes and directs shift responsibilities and duties
→Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care.
→Prepares and administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physicians.
→Ensure that narcotic records are accurate for your shift.
→Review medications and completeness of information.
