Are you passionate about creating meaningful change? Foundry is looking for a dedicated Senior Provincial Director Service Innovation to join our team and help us enhance the quality and accessibility of Integrated Youth Services for young people across British Columbia.
At Foundry, we reimagine health care to meet the diverse needs of youth aged 12–24 and their families. With a focus on wellness, connection, and accessibility, we bring together a variety of supports—including mental health, substance use, primary care, peer, and social services—under one roof and online.
The Senior Provincial Director is responsible for leading the development and implementation of service innovation with primary accountability for service model oversight, implementation quality, standards, and fidelity, centre readiness, service integration, evaluation, and learning, and practice–facing improvement. The Senior Provincial Director:
- Supports commissioned agencies and Foundry centres by providing operational, service, and practice leadership, and by working with partners to strengthen the delivery of integrated services and programs across the province.
- Provides direction on evaluation, quality assurance, quality improvement, and research activities.
- Contributes to shared leadership accountabilities, including strategic alignment, senior partner and government engagement, organizational culture, and provincial risk, identification, escalation, and mitigation.
- Provides leadership and direction to staff and relevant team members.
This role operates in a peer leadership role alongside the Senior Provincial Director, Operations & Planning and other senior portfolios.
A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Master’s Degree in Health Administration, Nursing, Clinical Psychology, or another relevant health care field, with at least ten (10) years of recent, related experience in progressively senior management roles, including a minimum of five (5) years at the Director level, working with networks, coalitions and multi-partnered projects in a youth and young adult health care environment, and in the management of project teams; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Knowledge of health care and systems/service delivery models.
- Knowledge of provincial government and government ministry decision-making processes.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, policies, programs and services.
- Knowledge of providing care in communities which include rural, community and specialized centres including an understanding of the demographic/cultural aspects of these communities.
- Demonstrated ability to create and implement novel and innovative approaches which have reduced barriers to care.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change, inspiring and engaging others and promoting change behaviours.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing including advanced report presentation and writing skills.
- Effective facilitation skills and the ability to motivate and influence physicians, leaders, clients and other key stakeholders.
- Advanced skills in complex problem solving, planning, project management, change management and group process.
- Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, critical thinking and effective decision-making.
- Ability to critically assess policy and procedures and affect change.
- Ability to respond to changing priorities and unforeseen circumstances.
- Ability to provide leadership, guidance and direction to staff and the leadership team.
- Ability to effectively manage budget and staff resources.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and balance work.
- Ability to operate related equipment, including computer software applications.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
