Responsibilities

→Collaborate with fabricators to design and develop tooling solutions for chrome plating operations
→Create detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, and renderings using CAD software
→Assist in developing and refining tooling designs for manufacturability and functionality
→Translate concepts and shop feedback into accurate technical drawings
→Support modifications and improvements to existing tooling
→Maintain organized documentation of designs, revisions, and specifications
→Participate in team discussions to solve engineering and production challenges

Sharp parts, sharp tooling, heaving carts, seasonal high temperature, and humidity levels, moderate noise levels, limited hand and air tool use, compressed air (must use hearing protection).
Must be able to wear respiratory protection when required.
Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs. unassisted.
Potential splash exposure near lines.
Various chemicals are used in the process.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar)
Strong understanding of basic engineering principles and design concepts
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with a hands-on fabrication team
