• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing or vacuuming them.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
• Gather and empty all trash.
• Service, clean and supply the restrooms.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors.
• Dust furniture, walls, desks, tables, bookcases, etc.
• Mow and trim the lawn, shrubbery, using mowers and hand and power trimmers and clear debris from grounds.
• Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, parking areas using snow blowers, shovels and spread now melting chemicals.
• Help set up, arrange and remove decorations, tables and chairs for company events.
• Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation.
• Help clean and restore the building interiors damaged by fire, smoke or water using commercial cleaning equipment.
• Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Works safely at all times and complies with safety regulations regarding the use of protective equipment and devices, keeping guards in place at all times.
• Offers suggestions relative to job improvements such as methods, procedures, ways of doing things, housekeeping, cleaning agents, safety equipment, etc.
• Maintains an adequate inventory of janitorial supplies: brooms, towels, soaps, disinfectants, deodorants, cleaning powders and solutions, mops, toilet tissue, etc.
• Performs other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed.
