Responsibilities
~1 min readThe Patient Access Manager provides leadership, direction, and administration in all aspects of the Patient Access department, which includes all registration functions within all areas of the Medical Group, information desk, financial counseling, cashier processes, insurance verification, mail processes as well as the PBX area.

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Bachelors’ degree in Business Management or Accounting preferred.
3. Three to Five years experience as a supervisor/ manager in the Admitting areas of an acute care facility or Medical Group, preferred.
4. Preferred Skills and Abilities: Must be able to demonstrate understanding of and ability to interpret third party payer principles and terms and COBRA laws. Strong organizational skills required for effective communication with patients, physicians, public, staff and administrations. Must be able to work in fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
5. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
6. Effective written and verbal communication skills
7. Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
8. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Customer Services experience required.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $48,526.40 to $70,283.20 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
