Responsibilities

The Sargent & Lundy Consulting group regularly provides technical and financial due diligence, planning and advisory services, asset transaction support, project development services, and owner’s engineering services; primarily within the energy sector.

 

This position will give you the opportunity to:

  • Collaborate with members of the Consulting Business Group and expand your academic background in Engineering and Project Financing.
  • Assist in the preparation of Consulting proposals, marketing materials, technical presentations, and white papers.
  • Support project teams with due diligence of power generation projects, power system planning projects, and feasibility studies.
  • Track and evaluate project activities and progress, and associated data.
  • Prepare technical reports and other Consulting deliverables, including financial models, feasibility studies, asset transactions, project development, and capital budgeting for existing and planned, new energy projects .
  • Provide technical support to clients including utilities, power project developers, investors, technology companies, and financial institutions.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Pursuing either a Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Civil Engineering with at least six semesters or equivalent quarters completed at an accredited university.
  • Minimum overall GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Valued Knowledge/Skills:

  • Related internship or co-op experiences.
  • Undergraduate Finance or M.B.A. coursework
  • Experience and/or coursework in power systems, renewable energy, battery energy storage, or financial modeling in the power industry.
