General operation of Rod Mill.

• →Demonstrated commitment to safety through actions and behaviors
• →Understanding of Molten Metal
• →Pre op Setup ( Prep & Clean Launders, Inspect & Clean Pump well )
• →Operation of Transfer pump
• →Regulate Metal Flow
• →Proper knowledge of Skimming
• →Knowledge and use of Overhead Cranes
• →Responsible for setting Pour off Pot & Putting under Preheat after Run is Complete
• →Assist with Bar Handling & Casting Operations
• →Light maintenance duties
• →Assist in break down operations
• →Prep Coils for Delivery
• →Other duties as assigned

• Must receive passing score on required testing
• Ability to make quick decisions in fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
• Possess a self-starter quality for seeking input and details from resources
• Solid mechanical aptitude and a desire to problem solve
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
• Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
• Must have good math skills, as well as oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds
• Possess a willingness to work in cold/hot outside conditions as well as hot inside conditions
