Intern - Imaging

• Department: General Radiology
• Schedule: PRN, Evenings and Weekends
• Work Location: UAB St Vincent's St Clair

Provide services to patients under the direct supervision.

• →Prepare and position patients and select exposure factors accurately.
• →Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
• →Prepare for and assist the supervising technologists and physicians in a variety of imaging procedures.
• →Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• →Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• →Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• →BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• →High school diploma equivalency AND enrolled in an accredited program specific to discipline.
