As a Senior Coordinator, Social Media Content, you will
- Work closely with the team to assist in creating and publishing platform-specific content while ensuring brand voice is maintained across channels. This includes live tournament coverage around the tennis calendar.
- Manage campaigns and collaborate internally around various US Open initiatives, including theme art, media day, food & beverage, and merchandise
- Follow social media best practices by platform; optimize content for each social platform in terms of sizing, relevance, and timing.
- Assist fellow content producers and take part in regular brainstorming and pitch sessions.
- Maintain a clean, organized content calendar for the broader social media team.
- Maintain quality control procedures and ensure all copy is fact-checked and images are brand-appropriate while adhering to brand standards and established voice across platforms.
- Detail the success of social media campaigns by analyzing key metrics to drive new and existing strategies.
- Monitor conversations with fans, brands, and influencers for intentional engagement opportunities.
- Ensure all content is properly tagged (e.g., handles, hashtags, tracking tags, geo-location, etc.) and correct links are used.
- Help grow reach and engagement across US Open & USTA social media platforms, with a focus on pro tennis and US Open content.
- Leverage data to make or adjust content for improved performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or degree in progress
- 3-5 years of experience in social media and/or digital marketing.
- Strength in real-time storytelling content across social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work cooperatively, creatively, and efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledgeable about professional tennis, the US Open, entertainment & pop culture; experience in professional sports is helpful.
- Strong content editing and creation skills are a plus, utilizing Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, WSC Software, Slate, and Content Management Systems.
- Available to work nights & weekends as needed.
- Available to travel domestically and internationally as assigned
- Available to work in-person for the duration of the US Open Tennis Championships in Flushing Meadows, NY.
- This position is designated as "hybrid/flex" in New York City, and may allow for both remote and on-site work. Any such position must meet the current USTA hybrid/flex requirements as updated from time to time. Please consult HR for the most current policy.
