We’re looking for a Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist who wants to put their skills to work, keep growing, and be part of a team that supports one another and keeps things positive, even on the busy days. With four-day work weeks and no nights, weekends, or holidays, you’ll have real time to recharge.

As a Veterinary Assistant at Pace Veterinary Clinic, you’ll be a hands-on part of every patient’s care.
- Triage patients and gather thorough histories, vitals, and assessments
- Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures
- Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
- Take high-quality radiographs and maintain imaging standards
- Run in-house lab work, including CBC/chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, and fecals
- Support surgical and dental procedures, from patient prep through anesthesia monitoring, recovery, and instrument care
- Provide nursing and supportive care from intake through discharge, including TPRs, pain scoring, and wound care
- Use low-stress and Fear Free handling techniques to keep patients safe and comfortable
- Educate clients on patient care, medications, discharge instructions, and preventive care with compassion and clarity
- Document patient care and treatments accurately in the medical record
- Keep treatment and exam areas clean and stocked, and follow infection control protocols
- Collaborate with the team to keep the workflow efficient and the hospital culture positive
- Take part in ongoing training and growth opportunities
