The Physician Assistant MAT provides comprehensive medical care to patients under physician supervision while adhering to clinical policies and state regulations. They conduct exams, review treatment plans, and assess coexisting conditions while ensuring accurate documentation and appropriate referrals. The role includes responding to medical emergencies, training and supporting staff, and consulting with treatment teams to deliver coordinated care. The PA prescribes treatment regimens, maintains patient confidentiality, and participates in facility committees. Overall, the position ensures high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered medical services.
Responsibilities

Conduct patient exams, medical histories, and physicals; determine diagnoses and opioid dependence.

Review treatment plans, analyze cases with treatment teams, and make referrals for coexisting conditions.

Provide documentation in SOAP format, maintain confidentiality, and follow clinic policies and regulations.

Respond to medical emergencies and prepare reports as needed.

Support and train medical staff, attend case conferences, and participate in mandatory facility committees.
Requirements

- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or an accredited education program for Physician Assistant
- Advanced degree in an approved and accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
EXPERIENCE
- 2 years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
- Must have and maintain current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant within the state of employment
- Must have and maintain current CPR certification
- Must have or be willing to obtain DATA 2000 Waiver prior to employment
