Under the direction of the shop supervisor, the painter is primarily responsible for repainting repaired vehicles and painting upkeep of all equipment in plant as well as pressure washing equipment, sand blasting equipment and placing decals.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values.
- →Autobody repair and paint including painting of misc. metals and woods.
- →Heavy Equipment/Automotive surface preparation and paint with seat upholstery work as needed.
- →Pressure wash equipment.
- →Fiberglass body work for general equipment hoods and fender repair.
- →Installing vinyl lettering, logos, and general branding/labeling on equipment and fleet vehicles.
- →Minor carpentry skill needed.
- →Experience cutting and working with plexiglass needed.
- →Minor mechanical needs required.
- →Always ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Automotive restoration skills preferred.
- 3+ years of Automotive Painting experience preferred.
- May frequently be required to walk long distances over uneven ground.
- May frequently be required to stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for long periods of time.
- Needs to be able to communicate well to receive and follow instructions, and understand safety requirements.
- Must be medically qualified to wear a respirator.
- Must frequently be able to lift and/or carry 0 – 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. May occasionally lift items over their head.
- May frequently be required to climb up and down equipment via steps and/or short vertical ladders.
- Attention and commitment to safety
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Ability to work long hours
- Ability to move 50 pounds
- Familiar with the operation of equipment
- Knowledge of fresh air systems operation/ maintenance
- Knowledge of paint systems and maintenance
- Knowledge of proper handling methods and disposal of unused paints/ thinners
