We are looking for a Business Operations Data Analyst to join the Business Data Team, based in Wrexham, reporting to the Business Operations Data Lead Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career professional to join a central function at the heart of the business, gaining hands-on experience across revenue operations, financial reporting, and data management in support of Delta Capita’s global operations.

The ideal candidate will have some awareness of finance and business management concepts such as P&L structures, revenue, and costs. You will be involved in the day-to-day operational and administrative tasks that keep the business running smoothly, with full training and support provided. This role offers strong development opportunities across business operations and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup, maintenance, and closure of client engagements within the business’s resource management platform, ensuring records are kept accurate and up to date.

• Perform data entry, validation checks, and cross-referencing of engagement records against contractual documentation such as statements of work.

• Log, track, and help resolve data quality issues across engagements, escalating to IT or senior team members where needed.

• Support the processing of revenue adjustments under the guidance of senior colleagues, building an understanding of the different scenarios in which these are required.

• Assist with the preparation and submission of end-of-month revenue data and cost allocation reviews, ensuring information is collated accurately and to deadline.

• Help maintain and update cost files, billing trackers, and other supporting spreadsheets used by the Finance team.

• Support billing processes by gathering data, verifying details, and ensuring invoicing records are complete and up to date.

• Assist with the verification of monthly accrual reports and the collation of data for variable compensation reviews such as commissions.

• Carry out routine data checks and validation across the business’s core operational systems, flagging inconsistencies or gaps to senior team members.

• Update and maintain system reference data such as bank holidays, approver lists, and other configuration items to support accurate reporting.

• Support the wider Business Data Team in preparing and maintaining reports and dashboards, including gathering source data and checking outputs for accuracy.

• Assist with documenting processes and procedures to support knowledge sharing and continuity within the team.

• Provide general administrative support across the Business Data Team, including filing, data collation, and preparation of materials for senior stakeholders.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Finance, IT, HR, and the Business Lines to support operational tasks as they arise.

 

Requirements

• A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline such as business, finance, economics, or data analytics, or equivalent early career experience.

• Some awareness of or interest in core financial concepts such as P&L structures, revenue, costs, and billing.

• Good Excel skills, with a willingness to develop further in areas such as pivot tables, lookups, and data manipulation.

• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to working with data.

• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Clear communication skills and a willingness to engage with colleagues at all levels.

• A proactive, can-do attitude with a genuine willingness to learn and develop.

• Any prior experience in a business operations, administrative, or data support role.

• Exposure to resource management or PSA platforms such as Kimble (Kantata) or similar.

• Exposure to Power BI or similar data visualisation and reporting tools.
