·        Ensure optimal layout and cleanliness of lab areas.

·        Drive safe workplace standards like 5S

·        Coordinate with facilities for infrastructure needs and upgrades.

·        Identify Safety needs as per local/global building codes and enforce them

·        Ensure proper storage and labeling of chemicals and materials 

·        Establish annual inventory/capital equipment plan / budget

·        Maintain inventory of lab supplies and consumables proactively as per user needs

·        Implement Kanban or similar systems to avoid shortages 

·        Operational Oversight:

·        Monitor lab activities to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.

·        Track and report metrics such as equipment downtime, 5S violations, and TPM compliance 

·        Conduct EH&S audits and ensure zero violations 

·        Assist in the setup and commissioning of new lab equipment.

·        Coordinate with engineering and vendors for installation and calibration 

·        Ensure all equipment meets ISO/IEC 17025 standards for calibration 

·        Shall be the Approval authority for any new or modifications to the lab set ups

·        Maintain Lab equipment schedules for shared set ups

·        Develop and update lab procedures and testing protocols.

·        Develop/Maintain systems to store / distribute test results

·        Lead efforts to improve process robustness and maturity 

·        Document escalation processes for equipment or testing issues 

·        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related field.

·        8+ years of experience in lab operations or management.

·        Strong understanding of lab safety, equipment calibration, and process documentation.

·        Experience with TPM, EH&S, and ISO standards preferred.

·        Hands on experience in product testing, Automation and SW tools like Labview is a plus

·        Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

·        Proficiency in lab management software and inventory systems.

·        Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
