About This Role
Responsible for optimizing material flow, packaging, inventory, and logistics operations within a manufacturing environment. This role supports lean production through effective material presentation, packaging design, replenishment systems, warehouse optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design material flows, picking routes, line-side presentation, and warehouse layouts.
- Develop and implement packaging solutions (reusable and expendable).
- Lead Kanban, replenishment, and inventory optimization initiatives.
- Manage container, rack, and packaging fleets, including maintenance and capital planning.
- Implement reverse logistics programs for returnable containers and racks.
- Support NPI launches and production ramp-ups.
- Collaborate with suppliers to design, source, and deploy packaging solutions.
- Create and maintain packaging standards, work instructions, and best practices.
- Analyze operational data and drive continuous improvement projects.
- Partner with Production, Safety, Engineering, Procurement, and Logistics teams.
- Participate in Kaizen events and Lean initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Packaging, Logistics or Supply Chain.
- 3+ years of experience in materials, logistics, packaging, or supply chain engineering.
- 2+ years of experience working with material flow and packaging systems.
- 2+ years of experience with data analytics and project management.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP and PLM systems (Windchill preferred).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Lean Logistics, and Kanban systems.
- Experience designing warehouse layouts, material flows, and line-side presentation systems.
- Vendor management and strategic sourcing experience.
- Strong data analysis and continuous improvement capabilities.
- Knowledge of supply chain strategy and execution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and 3D CAD software (Creo preferred).
