The Formation Year program is CCO’s most robust program. In your first year, receive our world-class training in evangelization and intentional accompaniment, working directly as part of a dynamic team of missionaries serving in one of our National Headquarters departments: 

• Human Resources
• Finance and Properties
• Stewardship and Development
• Events
• Missions
• Media and Marketing

After completing the formation year, you may be invited to continue as a CCO Missionary with a 2-year contract. 

Your Formation year begins in May at our New Hire Orientation. Summer months are spent in initial training and Support Team Partnership Development (MPD- see job posting and description), culminating in our National Staff Gathering, where you will receive timely training and formation to launch you into your position as a CCO missionary, working directly as part of a team of missionaries in our National Headquarters. Your skills, gifts, and strengths will be put to good use in executing the necessary National aspects of our movement. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• All employees of CCO are required to participate in the mission of the New Evangelization within the Catholic Church and work toward the propagation of the Gospel. This includes taking the initiative to lead CCO Catholic Faith studies, share the kerygma (through tools like the Ultimate Relationship booklet), and/or participation in the evangelization efforts of CCO, including opportunities to participate in CCO Missions. 
• National HQ Missionaries work in person at CCO's National Headquarters Office, located in Ottawa, Ontario Canada.
• National HQ Missionaries receive a monthly salary equivalent to the minimum wage of the province of employment and are based on a 40 hour work week. Salaries increase with years of experience.
• Please provide 3 references in your application (include their phone number and email). One employment reference and two character references.
  • One must be a CCO Missionary. If you are not familiar with any, please provide a character reference from someone who can attest to your character and relationship with the Catholic Church (such as a priest or a Church leader).
  • One must be an employment reference.
  • References must not be related to you.
