Primary Function: Accounts payable and receivable processing; serve as a liaison between the State’s Attorney’s Office and other agencies or financial institutions as it relates to the day-to-day operations.
Working Environment: Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

You may need to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds regularly, and occasionally heavier items. The job may also involve a significant amount of walking or standing relative to sedentary roles.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Process invoices within EBS accounting system
· Prepare checks for issuance from bank accounts held on-site (access database); includes, but not limited to, Petty Cash and Escrow Accounts
· Prepare payment vouchers
· Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed or required
· Interacts regularly with State’s Attorney’s Office employees
· Interacts regularly with other Cook County agencies
· Interacts regularly with outside agencies and vendors
· Regular access to confidential information
· Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
- The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.
- Three years direct and significant experience working with account ledgers, bank reconciliations and spreadsheets will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Working Knowledge of the EBS system
- Proficiency in SharePoint.
