Head of Remittance

Job Title: Head of Remittance Location: Juba, South Sudan Department: Remittance Operations Reports To: General Manager Supervises: Remittance/Operations Staff Employment Type: Full-Time Job Purpose To lead and oversee remittance operations, ensuring efficient transaction processing, effective cash and liquidity management, foreign exchange operations, regulatory compliance, customer service and business performance. Key Responsibilities • Oversee daily remittance operations and transaction processing. • Monitor transaction volumes, revenue, margins and operational performance. • Manage cash, liquidity and foreign currency positions. • Monitor and recommend appropriate foreign exchange rates. • Lead, supervise, coach and develop remittance staff. • Ensure accurate reconciliations, settlements and transaction records. • Maintain effective relationships with banks, remittance partners, agents and other stakeholders. • Ensure compliance with KYC, AML/CFT, sanctions and regulatory requirements. • Monitor operational risks, losses, errors, fraud and customer complaints. • Prepare management reports and provide recommendations for improved efficiency and profitability. Requirements Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Banking or related field. • 5+ years' relevant experience in remittance, money transfer, foreign exchange, banking or financial services. • 2–3 years' supervisory/management experience. • Strong experience in cash management and foreign exchange operations. • Good understanding of AML/CFT, KYC and sanctions requirements. • Experience in South Sudan's financial services or remittance environment will be an advantage. • Experience with banks, remittance partners or financial institutions is an advantage. • Must have a valid Kenyan passport. • Must be willing and available to relocate to Juba, South Sudan.
