About the Role

- Collect paperwork and insurance information directly from patients and scan all documents.
- Change and update patient status in the computer according to established guidelines.
- Handle routine questions over the phone concerning appointments, policies, insurance, and treatments. Update the notes in the system to reflect any changes made
- Verifying insurance and frequencies when needed.
- Review the schedule in advance to ensure appointments and patients are due before confirming them.
- Confirm patients following the established confirmation protocol. Can reappoint examination appointments, refers other appointments to the proper person for reappointment if necessary
- Clean/maintain front office area/lobby
- Collect fees per patient’s insurance or visit.
- In this role, you will help the office manager create claims.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
~1 min read- Administrative experience is required
- Experience working with insurance is preferred
- Dental Experience is not required but experience in another administrative or insurance-related setting is acceptable.
- Education: High School graduate or equivalent
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service is a plus
- Multitasking and prioritizing
