Shipper

Cenveo, a world leader in the management and distribution of print and related offerings, we are seeking a Shipper to work out of our Carrollton (Dallas), Texas location.

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a warehouse environment and the ability to be forklift certified.

Under general supervision, loads, unloads, and moves materials or product throughout the warehouse, storage, staging or production areas. Prepares product for shipment, loads and unloads various shipping containers using fork lift.

These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.

• → Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near warehouse, plant, or work site.
• → Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or pallets to be moved.
• → Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, racks and shelves by hand or fork lift.
• → Receives, unpacks, and examines goods shipped and verifies completeness of shipments against bills of lading, invoices, and other records. May route incoming goods to departments.
• → Prepares products for shipment. May keep record of goods shipped.
• → Counts and compares quantity and identification numbers of units against order.
• → Prepares identifying information (labeling) and shipping instructions on pallets.
• → Moves containers to shipping dock using hand truck or other similar equipment.
• → Notifies supervisor of any major incidence of damage to materials received or scheduled to be shipped.

Includes functions which are normally performed by persons holding this title. However, these functions may be reassigned to other employees as part of a "Reasonable Accommodation" under the ADA.

• Pulling stock for jet presses in printing department.
• May contact transportation companies to order or schedule deliveries and shipments.
• May enter shippers and receivers into computer.
• Cleans up and disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, etc., and places in proper containers or areas.
• Sweeps and cleans up work area during and at the end of shift.

• Other duties and assignments as required.

• Requires frequent standing, walking, carrying, bending, stooping, grasping, and reaching.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 1200 pounds on a skid with pallet jack.
• Manual dexterity required to grasp objects and operate hand truck, pallet jack, or forklift.
• Must wear safety shoes constantly.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

• High School diploma or equivalent, with mathematics emphasis.
• 1 to 2 years of related experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and forklift/power truck certification.
