The Opportunity:

Role Summary:
The Driver Coordinator (Days) is the main point of contact between the backbone of the transportation industry (our AZ Drivers) and the organization. This role is responsible for effectively coordinating a group of drivers to success through continual communication from the shipment pick-up to delivery and ensuring the appropriate internal departments (i.e. Customer Service, Breakdown, Customs) are aware of any updates.  


Hours of Work:
Sunday - Thursday, 11:00pm – 7:30am

Work Arrangement:
On-site

Hourly Rate: $22

1790 Provincial Road, Windsor ON

Key Accountabilities:
In this role, you will:
  • Participating in and supporting driver retention initiatives
  • Maintaining fair and equitable distribution of work
  • Communicating dispatch information as required
  • Monitoring driver performance/miles and reefer requirements
  • Monitoring and responding to driver satellite messages
  • Assisting with the development of the required driver skills i.e.: Customs, Hazmat, Hours of Service, Policy, Regulations, Satellites, etc.
  • Assisting with solutions regarding any driver concerns
  • Assisting with driver inquiries - payroll, miles etc.
  • Updating customer websites relative to the position/shift
  • Communicating and problem solving with customers as required

  • Performs other duties as required
 

Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who brings:
Education & Experience:
  • Secondary School Diploma is required 
  • Knowledge of truckload dispatch an asset  
  • ACE and Customs/border crossing experience an asset  
  • TMW experience an asset  
Skills & Attributes:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills 
  • Strong attention to detail  
  • Good communications skills (written and verbal)  
  • Strong self-discipline and initiative  
  • Creative and effective problem-solving ability  
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
