 The Production Planner is responsible for the creation and execution of production schedules for all processing areas. This role ensures efficient, effective, and standardized scheduling aligned with orders/forecasts, material availability, and labor capacity. The role is to work collaboratively with the following Teams: Operations, FSQA, Customer Service, Maintenance, Sanitation, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure seamless production flow and adherence to inventory targets.

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet demand forecasts and inventory targets.
  • Monitor plant output and adjust schedules in response to constraints or performance issues.
  • Execute MRP processes and provide projections for packaging materials.
  • Identify and manage production constraints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of production priorities and timelines.
  • Maintain master data related to production planning in ERP systems.
  • Monitor operations output against planned output and update as needed.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and coordinate with stakeholders to address issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to department and company goals.
  • Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and production planning processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of BOM structures, routings, and sub-assembly processes.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a focus on customer service and operational efficiency.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with production planning responsibilities.
  • 2–5 years of experience working with ERP or MRP systems.
  • Experience in food manufacturing or regulated environments is a plus.
  • Onsite, some availability to work remotely.
  • May require occasional extended hours during peak production periods or schedule changes.
  • Frequent interaction with operations, supply chain, and quality teams on the production floor.
