Senior Director - Support Systems & Tools Integration
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Lead and manage multiple software development projects within the Digital Support Enablement & CX team, ensuring timely delivery, scope adherence, and quality outcomes.
- →Engage early in the Product Definition cycle, collaborating with stakeholders from Engineering to unblock dependencies.
- →Drive process optimization for software development projects, from initiation to closure.
- →Coordinate projects and interdependencies, especially during Beta, Release, and Customer Support phases.
- →Oversee the generation of critical documents, including business requirement documents and design documents.
- →Regularly produce comprehensive project status reports, highlighting key milestones and potential risks.
- →Meticulously plan and track release schedules, ensuring a smooth Move to Production process.
- →Efficiently manage resources across various software projects and programs.
- →Identify and address conflicts and impediments in software project progress, escalating when necessary.
- →Proactively manage and communicate potential project risks, collaborating on effective mitigation strategies.
- →Communicate program status regularly to stakeholders, providing insights into project progression.
- →Partner with engineering management to facilitate all aspects of software development projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- →Proven track record of 3-4 years in project management, particularly in software development.
- →Advanced leadership skills for guiding cross-functional teams and ensuring project success.
- →Proficiency in Agile methodologies, with hands-on experience using Atlassian Confluence and JIRA.
- →Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- →Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities to address challenges during project execution.
- →Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects, milestones, and deadlines concurrently.
- →Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and navigate changing project requirements.
- →Deep understanding of customer-centric principles to enhance digital support and customer experience.
- →Efficiently generate and manage project-related documents, contributing to transparency and traceability.
- →Proactive approach to risk management, aligning with organizational goals for successful project outcomes.
- →Ability to align projects strategically with organizational objectives and integrate them into broader program initiatives, contributing to the overall success of the software development ecosystem.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience, with additional consideration for degrees in related fields.
- 6 years or more of industry experience in Software development, QA, or Program Management.
- Minimum 2 years of program/project management in software development, including expertise in tracking software delivery processes using tools and metrics.
- Fluency in Agile, Scrum, with exposure to other methodologies (Kanban etc.) being a plus.
- Proficient in project and documentation management tools such as Confluence and JIRA processes.
- Ability to work efficiently with new technologies and stay informed about industry trends.
- Excellent leadership skills for seamless collaboration with stakeholders across various functions.
- Strong project management experience, having led projects for at least 6 months with cross-functional teams.
- Broad knowledge of project and program management methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence without authority.
- Familiarity with SDLC (Waterfall, Agile, Iterative, Spiral) as well as sprint planning.
- Experience leading efforts across teams representing multiple layers of the software stack and collaborating with cross-functional partners in areas such as human UX, hardware, firmware, and product management.
