Sr. Manager - Embedded Systems / Sr Manager of Embedded Software

 As a Technical Program Manager, you will work to help the team understand requirements, help track and deploy embedded software solutions. 
 
Responsibilities 
 

  • Working with product management, program managers, engineering managers, hardware, regulatory and other teams to understand and document technical requirements, ensure these are signed-off. 
  • Ensure requirements are fully understood and implementation matches expectations. 
  • Own and coordinate the embedded software release schedules and work with engineering managers to drive teams to meet committed delivery dates. 
  • Actively groom the product backlog and ensure that the features and bugs are prioritized properly in a release 
  • Help EPMs and EMs in managing scrum and agile methodologies 
  • Evangelize and promote engineering best practices. 
  • Work with customer support, QA and management to define errata for a release. 
  • Actively work and influence next gen technology based requirements for the embedded software

A Staff Technical Program Manager  drives successful delivery of complex, hardwaresoftware programs by aligning engineering execution with business goals. Through deep technical expertise and crossfunctional leadership, they proactively manage risks, dependencies, and quality across firmware, hardware integration, and regulatory constraints. At the staff level, they also scale impact by improving systems and processes, influencing technical strategy, and ensuring embedded platforms deliver longterm reliability and customer trust.  

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver and support embedded and/or cloud-connected software running on commercial/industrial hardware. 
  • Demonstrated ability and inclination to make critical system-level design decisions to drive projects from start to finish 
  • Experience with working through bring up and delivery phase of new embedded systems / technology products 
  • 8+ years of experience working on embedded system products using C/C++ 
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent (MS preferred) 

Preferred 

  • Exposure in connectivity architecture using Wireless (Cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC), and wired (Ethernet, CAN) interfaces a plus 
  • C/C++ coding in a Linux environment; modern C++ is preferred 
  • Working with EV / EVSE products is a big plus
