**Job Summary:**
The Dental Assistant at the Community Health Center of Niagara in Niagara Falls, NY, plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients in compliance with regulatory guidelines. This position involves collaborating closely with the dentist, engaging in four-handed dentistry tasks, managing patient seating, and dismissals, sterilizing instruments, taking x-rays, overseeing inventory, handling basic equipment maintenance, and fulfilling various clerical duties. **Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a dental office
- Certification as a registered dental assistant in New York State is preferred
**Responsibilities:**
- Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Seat and dismiss patients, maintain cleanliness in the operatory and dental laboratory
- Sterilize dental instruments, process radiographs
- Manage dental supplies inventory, conduct laboratory duties, and handle clerical tasks
- Utilize computerized systems for patient registration and other administrative processes
- Perform basic equipment maintenance, such as changing suction machine filters
**Salary Range:**
- Registered Dental Assistant: $18.78 - $22.46 per hour
- Dental Assistant without certification: $17.78 - $21.46 per hour

- Demonstrate personal integrity and professionalism in all interactions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to collaborate with patients from diverse backgrounds
- Physically capable of meeting the demands of the role, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching
