Chesapeake Specialty Care is looking for a compassionate, motivated, and team-oriented full-time Medical Assistant to join our growing practice. We welcome both experienced Medical Assistants and candidates who are eager to build hands-on clinical experience in a collaborative, physician-led environment.
This role offers the opportunity to expand your clinical and administrative skills while working closely with physicians and supporting high-quality patient care across multiple office locations.
As part of our team, you will rotate between our four office locations in Owings Mills, Rosedale, Westminster, and Columbia. Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between offices as scheduled are essential.
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM
- 30-minute unpaid lunch break
- No weekends
What You’ll Do
- Welcome and room patients while obtaining medical histories and documenting concerns
- Record vital signs and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Process prescription requests through the electronic health record (EHR)
- Coordinate insurance pre-authorizations for procedures and treatments
- Provide administrative support, including answering phones and assisting with patient communication
- Maintain organized records and support office workflow as needed
- Adapt to different office settings while helping provide a consistent, high-quality patient experience across all locations
- Perform additional duties to support the clinical team and patient care operations
What We’re Looking For
- Previous medical office experience is helpful, but we are willing to train strong, motivated candidates
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Flexibility and reliability with travel between Owings Mills, Westminster, Columbia, and Rosedale offices
- Interest in patient care, healthcare operations, and professional growth
Education & Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred
