Safety & Health Manager

• →Oversee and ensure the safety of employees, subcontractors, and the public during Chimes DC operations
• →Enforce corporate, federal, state, and local safety/health standards
• →Develop, evaluate, and update project-specific safety programs with the Director of QA & Compliance
• →Conduct quarterly safety surveys, inspections, and job hazard/risk assessments; report findings and recommend corrective action
• →Deliver an annual plan for meeting health, safety, and environmental regulatory requirements
• →Coordinate and teach safety training, including OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour courses; schedule re-certifications
• →Ensure PPE and on-site security compliance
• →May supervise staff with safety responsibilities, including guidance, complaint handling, and discipline recommendations
• →Serve as backup point of contact for OSHA or other regulatory reviews
• →Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

• Undergraduate degree in safety or related field preferred
• OSHA #501 General Industry Outreach Trainer authorization (required); CPR/First-Aid Instructor preferred
• 5+ years of professional safety and health experience
• Experience with hospital standards, OSHA/DOT/EPA regulations, and CIMS-certified facilities preferred
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Valid driver's license (3+ years); must be 25+ to drive a 15-passenger van
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and work in varied conditions

• At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted in lieu of the requirements specified above under Education and Experience
