• 3 years of similar experience in a healthcare environment
• Experience in the identification, care, and follow up of on-field and sports-related injuries
• Experience in clinical treatment aspects for sports medicine patients
• Experience in musculoskeletal and neurological physical examinations
• Experience in concussion etiology and treatment

• Master’s degree

• Bachelor’s degree in health science or related field

• Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC) - National Athletic Trainers Association
• Licensed in State of Georgia - Georgia Board of Athletic Trainers
• Orthopedic Technologist Certified (OTC) - National Board for Certification of Orthopedic Technologists
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Strong fundamental knowledge regarding musculoskeletal medicine and non-central nervous system neurology
• Knowledge of musculoskeletal and neurological physical examinations
• Knowledge of concussion etiology and treatment
• Willing to work a flexible schedule and perform a variety of work-related tasks as needed

• →Performs clinical triage and initial assessment of patient's history, complaints/injuries and assists in diagnosis and development of treatment plans.
• →Coordinates marketing efforts by establishing relationships with and participating in personal visits in the community, including schools, sports clubs, and various organizations to help promote the sports medicine practice.
• →Attends miscellaneous sports events, programs, and/or activities to help create a presence and awareness of the sports medicine practice and provide educational and informational opportunities in the community.
• →Orders and performs ImPACT testing related to concussion.

• Patient and family education.
• Skin preparation.
• Applies, modifies, and removes casts, bandages, braces, and splints.

• Sets up patient and equipment.
• Maintains environment and equipment.
• Assists with surgery, such as suctioning and retraction.
• Immobilizes and supports limbs and joints.
• Applies dressings, bandages, strappings, etc.

• Assists in research/data collection.
• Assists physician in reading, reviewing, and addressing imaging studies.
