• 1 year of preferred experience working with athletes in variety of sports

• N/A

• Bachelor’s degree or entry level Master’s degree in related field from an accredited program

• Certified by Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer
• Maintains current licensure by the state of Georgia or eligible to apply
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

• Clinical competencies in treatment aspects for sports medicine patients
• Adhere to NATA best practices, and state laws of practice related to athletic training in Georgia
• Willing to work a flexible schedule and perform a variety of work related tasks as needed
• Good mental and physical health
• Must be able to successfully pass the Basic Windows Skill Assessment at 80% or higher rating within 30 days of employment

The duties of this position include, but are not included to:

• →Demonstrates clinical competence in the provision of effective service delivery appropriate to the patient’s specific needs and diagnosis.
• →Understands medical diagnosis and treatment interventions.
• →Follows established rehabilitation protocols based on diagnosis.
• →Provides education to parent and patients in an ongoing fashion via text, phone, or email.
• →Completes injury documentation on each patient and submits daily.
• →Completes documentation on a daily basis with appropriate content.
• →Demonstrates effective use of time for direct and indirect patient care and departmental responsibilities.
• →Demonstrates commitment to continuous professional growth and improvement.
• →Delivers competent age-appropriate patient care, integrating infection control and body substance precautions, patient safety, body mechanics, and knowledge of growth and development.
• →Identifies patient/family need for services from ancillary departments and provides follow-up and referral as necessary.
• →Participates in maintaining and monitoring the work environment to ensure a continual state of Joint Commission readiness.
