Furnaces and Heat Treat - Chemical Process Operator 3rd shift

Job Summary We're looking for a Furnaces & Heat Treat Chemical Process Operator to operate heat treatment furnaces used to process critical aerospace components. In this role, you'll perform vacuum and partial pressure heat treatment processes that alter the metallurgical properties of castings to meet precise customer and engineering specifications. .   Work That Matters At Chromalloy, your work directly supports aviation safety and reliability. What you do here has real-world impact—every day.   Shift: 3rd shift, Sunday-Thursday 10:00p-6:00a Shift Differential:$3.00   What You’ll Be Doing Load and unload heat treatment furnaces safely and efficiently. Select, program, and monitor furnace cycles using process control software. Verify heat treatment parameters meet customer and engineering requirements. Monitor furnace operations throughout the complete heat treatment cycle. Generate and maintain process documentation, charts, and maintenance records. Submit required test materials to support process approvals and quality requirements. Perform minor equipment repairs and preventive maintenance activities. Coordinate and schedule maintenance and calibration activities. Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely. Support a safe, organized, and quality-focused manufacturing environment.   What We’re Looking For High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding technical procedures and work instructions. Manufacturing, heat treat, industrial processing, aerospace, or related production experience preferred. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor equipment maintenance. Ability to work with production documentation and process records. Basic math skills, including working with fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages. Ability to interpret charts, graphs, and process data. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to troubleshoot routine equipment or process issues. Ability to obtain and maintain forklift operation qualifications.   Nice to Have Previous heat treating, furnace operations, metallurgy, or aerospace manufacturing experience. Experience working with automated process control systems or industrial software. Forklift certification. Preventive maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.   Work Environment & Physical Requirements Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, vibration, fumes, airborne particles, and varying noise levels. Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching throughout the shift. Regular use of hands for operating equipment, tools, and controls. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Requires close vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to safely work around industrial equipment and high-temperature processing systems.
