Our team is highly collaborative, professional, fun, and passionate about supporting the vision of a growing, vibrant, and spirited community.  Beaumont’s location within the Edmonton Metropolitan Region, provides a variety of rewarding challenges and the opportunity to apply forward-thinking concepts to advance Beaumont’s vision.
 
The Beaumont Sport & Recreation Centre (BSRC) is looking for a Childmind Attendant to join our team! Do you have a passion for working with children? Do you take pride in every aspect of your work, even the smallest details? Do you feel instant gratification when you help people get physically active or solve a problem for others? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this position could be a great fit for you! We’re seeking service focused Childmind Attendants to work on a casual basis at the BSRC.
 
The Center is offering a childminding program to enhance the customer experience for the families that utilize the Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre. Childminding is short-term care for infants and children aged 6 months – 7 years while their parent(s), guardian(s), or caregiver(s) use the facility. We’re looking for Childmind Attendants who are passionate about creating a fun, safe and comfortable environment for infants and children, and can work up to 15 hours per week.
 
What YOU’RE Responsible for:
  • Engage children in activities and games
  • Ensure parents and children have the best possible experience every time they visit
  • Communicate with parents regarding any concerns or challenges
  • Guarantee a fun, safe, engaging environment for children
  • Participate in the City’s Health & Safety program
  • Other duties as assigned
What YOU Bring:
  • High School Diploma
  • Previous experience in babysitting and/or childcare
  • Excellent communication skills
  • First Aid/CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain at your own cost)
  • Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector and Child Intervention Record Checks
