Position Summary: The City of Prescott Department of Public Works is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and collaborative professional for the City's Wastewater Collections, in the position of Utility Worker. Under general supervision of the Wastewater Collection Supervisor(s), the ideal candidate will join a team of professionals performing Wastewater Collection daily operations & maintenance tasks. The successful candidate will possess excellent physical and technical skills to support team goals and objectives. Essential Duties:
Qualifications: Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience comparable to one-year full time journey level construction, maintenance, or equipment operation; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. Licensing, Certification, and Other Requirements: Must possess a valid Arizona Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker endorsement or must obtain within six (6) months of hire date. Must possess an Arizona Grade I Wastewater Collection System Operator certification or obtain within one (1) year of hire.
