Role Description:

 

The Warehouse Specialist 1 is a new hire to a one-year position that supports a specific function within warehouse operations. Working under the guidance of a manager and/or supervisor, Specialist 1 will master one to five of the functional skills required within a specific department. Specialist 1 will maintain safety and organizational standards as well as support any of the shared services functions as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Identify and inspect customer returns, identifying both product and order numbers.
  • Communicate via email about what is being returned and the state of the items that are being returned.
  • Operate a forklift to store products, count inventory or pull product for sales orders.
  • Identify the required parts and complete basic repairs to damaged products.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, storage areas, and premises as directed.
  • Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings.
  • Any additional tasks assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous labor experience with preference to warehouse experience.
