Responsibilities

  • Maintain GMP and FDA Standards on all shifts. 
  • Maintain a safe working environment for employees. 
  • Assign work to employees for each shift, including assistant supervisors or leads. 
  • Keep equipment in good, clean working order and ensure employees do so as well. 
  • Ensure proper communication of equipment repair and preventive maintenance needs. 
  • Ensure employees are suitably trained to use the equipment. 
  • Manage an effective, productive team. 
  • Ensure proper personnel staffing to meet projected needs to support continued improvement efforts. 
  • Drive processes to reduce errors/gallon below the established trend line and drive toward continuous improvement.  
  • Comply with supplied schedules from the Planning Department. 
  • Comply with and work with staff to ensure regulatory and company standards and procedures compliance. 
  • Communicate company policies and procedures to employees and enforce them. 
  • Manage and mentor the team, ensuring the development of the required skill sets.  
  • Facilitate meetings. 
  • Evaluate staff performance and competencies including doing performance assessments. 
  • Communicate information and projects up and down the chain of command. 
  • Establish and maintain effective, professional relationships. 
  • Make recommendations on employment decisions (e.g., hiring, disciplinary action, termination). 
  • Implement, interpret, and affect policies, operating practices, and procedures. 
  • Troubleshoot and assist with problem-solving. 
  • Demonstrate independent judgment and make recommendations regarding business practices. 
  • Communicate effectively with others. 
  • Perform work onsite. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role. 
  • Post-secondary education in physical science or equivalent experience. 
  • Proven leadership skills 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Strong Math aptitude  
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English competently 
  • Ability to maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance. 
  • RF gun experience (preferred).
  • Background in Lean Manufacturing (preferred).
  • Proven knowledge of inventory control principles (preferred).
  • Experience with metrics tracking, implementation, and presentation (preferred). 

The Compounding Supervisor directs the work of the staff to receive chemicals and formulate batches of products timely, efficiently, and within the quality, regulatory, and company standards and expectations.
