About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager with strong backend engineering expertise and proven leadership experience to lead a multi-million ARR product. This role requires ownership of steady-state product management, vendor oversight, post-production reliability, and driving the evolution toward a scalable microservices architecture.
This is a hybrid position, which will require the ability to be onsite in our Bengaluru, India office as needed. Candidates must be based in India.
Own delivery for a key Clari + Salesloft product including quality, architecture, release readiness, and post-production support
Drive operational rigor including on-call management, issue resolution, vendor/contractor oversight, SLAs, and cost-efficiency
Champion engineering excellence with a focus on reliability, upgradeability, and maintainability
Hire and provide leadership and oversight to a team of software engineers building solutions and capabilities at scale with high engineering and quality standards
Recruit the best by owning the recruitment processes for your teams
Engagement and collaboration with cross teams, architects, and other stakeholders to deliver on a common goal
Drive the adoption of key engineering best practices to improve the quality and reliability of the team's deliverables
Responsible for keeping the team engaged, motivated, and operating with a high execution velocity
Responsible for evaluating, coaching, and mentoring direct reports
12+ years of software development experience
5+ years of managerial experience leading and building high-performing teams
Working knowledge and experience of Micro-services, noSQL DB etc
Experience of complete software life cycle including post release support
Demonstrated ability to manage highly skilled technology teams that have delivered high-quality enterprise-class applications
Experience in managing applications in a production environment that support high-throughput /availability/ resiliency, low latency at scale and exposure to managing production outages and remediations
Creative thinking and excellent problem-solving skills
