Whether it’s at the airport, stadium, or right on your phone, CLEAR connects you to the things that make you, you - unlocking easier, more secure, and more seamless experiences - making them all feel like magic.

We’re searching for a VP, GovTech Sales to build and scale our government enterprise sales motion from the ground up. This leader will own strategy, execution, and outcomes—driving adoption of CLEAR’s identity platform across federal, state, and local agencies.

What you'll do:

  • Define and execute CLEAR’s go-to-market strategy across federal, state, and local government segments
  • Carry and deliver against ambitious revenue targets
  • Establish trust with senior government stakeholders, procurement leaders, and policy influencers
  • Lead multi-threaded deals involving procurement, compliance, legal, and technical stakeholders
  • Partner closely with Product, Legal, and Policy to align CLEAR’s offerings with government needs and requirements
  • Hire and lead a high-performing team: develop and inspire a world-class GovTech sales organization
  • Build scalable systems for pipeline generation, forecasting, and deal execution

How you'll measure success:

  • Revenue growth and stickiness across public sector segments
  • Expansion of CLEAR’s footprint across agencies and jurisdictions

What you're great at:

  • 15+ years of public sector sales experience, with strong and current relationships
  • You’ve built or scaled a government sales function in a high-growth environment
  • Experience selling complex, technical products (identity, security, SaaS, or infrastructure preferred)
  • You have a track record of landing large, multi-year public sector contracts
  • You can align cross-functional stakeholders across product, legal, and policies
  • You’re fluent in procurement processes, compliance requirements, and budget cycles

How You'll be Rewarded:

At CLEAR, we help YOU move forward - because when you’re at your best, we’re at our best. You’ll work with talented team members motivated by our mission of making experiences safer and easier. Our offices are bright and energetic with an open concept and plenty of conference rooms and casual co-working spaces. We also offer catered lunches every day and have fully stocked kitchens. Outside of the office, we invest in your well-being and learning & development with stipends and reimbursement programs.

We offer holistic total rewards, including comprehensive healthcare plans, family-building benefits (fertility and adoption/surrogacy support), flexible time off, annual wellness stipend, free OneMedical memberships for you and your dependents, a CLEAR Plus membership, and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match. The compensation range for this role is $450,000-650,000, depending on levels of skills and experience.

This range represents the combined base salary, annual bonus incentive, and new hire equity package (in Restricted Stock Units) for this position at CLEAR. Additionally, this role will be eligible for refresh equity grants as part of our ongoing compensation program. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, education, skills, experience, and performance. All stock based compensation will be subject to the terms and conditions of applicable agreements.
