We are seeking an experienced and motivated person to join our culinary team. This role is vital to maintaining the quality and safety of the food we serve, ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for preparing a variety of meals, ensuring food quality, maintaining kitchen safety and cleanliness, and supporting other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation & Cooking:
    • Prepare and cook meals according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
    • Regulate the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
    • Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of food.
    • Monitor and maintain the quality and quantity of food prepared, while minimizing food waste.
    • Prepare special meals or substitute items based on guest requests.
  • Food Safety & Sanitation:
    • Follow HACCP guidelines and ensure food safety in all aspects of food handling.
    • Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment to meet health department standards.
    • Maintain food logs and monitor temperatures of appliances and food to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Communicate effectively with the Chef and Food & Beverage service staff about menu specials and out-of-stock items.
    • Assist colleagues during busy periods to ensure timely service and optimal guest satisfaction.
    • Work as a role model, assisting in the training, scheduling, and motivating of fellow employees.
  • Safety & Security:
    • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions immediately.
    • Follow safety protocols for the operation and storage of kitchen tools, equipment, and machines.
    • Complete necessary safety training and certifications as required by company policies.
  • General Kitchen Duties:
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of food storage areas, ensuring compliance with sanitation and pest control guidelines.
    • Follow food safety handling procedures, including product rotation, labeling, and organizing storage areas.
    • Assist with setup and breakdown of workstations and kitchen equipment.

Requirements

  • Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Supervisory Experience: Not required.
