Legal Counsel

To strengthen our vibrant Legal Team, we are currently looking for a highly motivated, experienced and dynamic Legal Counsel.

As a Legal Counsel, you will join the current legal team of 18 whose key responsibilities are to provide legal advice to the other departments and companies within the Group. You will provide legal advice and support on a wide range of commercial matters and contracts with focus on the Group’s shipping business.

  Comprehensive understanding of various areas of commercial law, ranging from general contract law over shipping finance to shipping law;

• →

  Management and follow up of maritime claims and legal matters;

• →

  Management of litigation and follow up of legal proceedings in concert with our lawyers in Belgium and overseas;

• →

  Expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts including charterparties;

• →

  Providing solution oriented legal advice on all matters in scope to enable proper monitoring, management and mitigation of the legal risks worldwide;

  Act as a true business partner for the CMB.TECH inhouse departments and overseas entities;

• →

  Occasional travel is part of the job.
