Shop Mechanic Foreman

In the Shop Mechanic Foreman, you will lead the daily operations of the CMS shop and mechanics, keeping safety at the forefront of all we do. Ultimately, the Shop Foreman will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. Job Purpose: 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead daily startup huddles with shop personnel.
  
• Assist Asset Manager.
• Lead internal shop repairs both directive and physical.
• Repair trucks, Tractor Trailers, equipment.
• Perform LOF services.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance.
• Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components.
• Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to the customer.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a mechanic
• Knowledge of shop equipment & diesel 
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Provide your own basic tools
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Clean and organized

Education, Skills and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• GED or High School Diploma.
  
• 10 years of relevant mechanical experience.
  
• 5 years of relevant supervisor’s experience.
  
• Class A or B CDL preferred to start, will be required to obtain within 6 months of hiring date.
• PA state inspection and emissions license preferred (Class 7) to start, will be required to obtain within 6 months to 1 year of hiring date.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for a prolonged period.
• Willing to work in all weather conditions.
• Required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to fingers, handle, or feel.
• May be required to move up to 50-75 pounds.
